How to make Braciola
Ingredients:
Flank steak 2lbs (can use top round)
2 cloves minced garlic
I hard boiled egg chopped
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/8 cup pine nuts(optional)
1/4 cup Parmesan
Salt & pepper ( to taste)
Tomato sauce(2 qt. enough to cover braciola )
4 T. Desimone Olive Oil (1/2 in mix and 1/2 to brown braciola in pan)
-Pound flank steak to 1/4” thickness
-Mix all ingredients in bowl and spread over flank steak.
- Roll the beef tucking in sides to hold filling as you roll. Then tie up with butcher string.
- 2 T. Olive oil in pan to brown braciola.
- Place braciola in a Dutch oven cover with sauce cook 2 hours at 325. Method I prefer use Slow cooker on low 7-8 hours.
- cut braciola with grain of meat and serve with some sauce poured on top.
